ZigZagZ Center

This project was about rehabilitating the passage in "Dekel Center" which is located in Bavli neighborhood in Tel Aviv. The passage floor is pattered with a unique black and white zigzag pattern. In my design I decided to preserve this special floor and even emphasize it by continuing it on the walls. This blurs the boundary between the floor and the walls and gives a unique feeling to the space. The patterns I created on the walls hide modular elements which open up, rotate, stick in or out. They serve the stores and enable them to display their merchandise. Due to the monochromatic design, the colors of the merchandise stand out, which grants them more attention and pulls potential customers in.
