This chair was part of a group project in which we were asked to design a three dimensional object conformed for maximum two individuals, using only one repetitive two dimensional element.

After some research, we were inspired by the art of paper folding, known as Origami, and decided to adopt this technique to our project. The paper folding technique is a a simple way to achieve strength and stability. We designed the chair by using twelve triangles connected to one another using suitable joints developed specifically for this purpose.
